A Creative Community

Born out of a desire for a more inclusive arts exhibition space in Jersey, 'The Colour Rooms' offers a platform for artists to showcase their work to a wide public audience. 

Located in beautiful Beaumont, our creative community of artists and makers, writers, photographers and poets, also offers specialist tutors for a wide range of classes and events.

Our philosophy is that colour is crucial to our environments, the way we feel and how we respond to it, and this underpins the surroundings, teaching and creativity in our community.

Our Art Match consultancy service offers bespoke matching of art to surroundings, enabling you to find that key painting that will become a focal point in your home or place of work.

Dawn Burrows

With a Bachelor of Design degree, Dawn is an international multi-disciplinary artist with a passion for equality in arts education and arts philanthropy. 

Leading three creative departments in Jersey secondary schools as Head of Art, Textiles and Photography, Dawn's contribution to inclusivity in the arts for greater wellbeing, led her to being shortlisted for a DIFERA award  for Inspirational Person of the Year 2023.

Dawn welcomes positive input and ideas from creatives and is always striving to improve her own practice, individually and through collaborative projects.

Having worked in sculpture, painting, printing, photography and textiles, Dawn is also passionate about therapeutic arts. Having trained at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education in London, she advocates the arts for creative health, supporting individuals and groups.
